| Review: | Submit a claim and get thrown out Denied: One $147 claim for a latent infection diagnosis by these people, who for the second time claim they've lost the documentation, but curiously say they've got enough to deny the claim based on a pre-existing condition that is a) under control and b) has absolutely nothing to do with the infection. Collecting from these people is a huge hassle because they do everything they can to beat you down to avoid paying. So now, PetFirst is on the clock: They'll either pay this claim, or they're of no use to me and the policy will be canceled. If pet insurance doesn't cover a rudimentary illness, what good is it? Furthermore, I know people in the Kroger front office in Cincinnati. If this claim doesn't get paid, those people are going to get the full dossier on how I've been treated. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | What a rip off, still trying to cancel after 4 mo Called, sent letters, still getting billed monthly from this scam and basically "pushed" to them by the Humane Society where we got our pet. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | BEWARE!!!! DO NOT BELIEVE SALES PERSON!! Part of the problem was us because we believed the sales rep we bought from. We even bought the extra coverage for our dog. Our sales rep did not tell us of all of the exclusions although she said she did!!!! READ IT FOR YOURSELF on their website. Our dog got a torn ACL and we did not know that this was excluded from coverage. After reading the exclusions, it looks to me that anything you might want covered IS NOT, so why bother paying a monthly premium for NOTHING???? Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | What a scam!!!! My bulldog's ulcerated cornea, which required the services of an eye specialist, was not covered. I could not provide 12 months of prior health records for him, as his original vet had closed up his practice and moved out of state.Petfirst said this was a prior condition and wouldn't cover it. Shame on you, Petfirst. You should be renamed Petlast. This was sponsored by King Soopers, and I am contacting Kroger's corporate office and letting them know how displeased I am. Also, I am a blogger and will alert my readers. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Terrible Customer Service I would never recommend this insurance company. Submitted a written request to cancel the policy per their instruction and 5 months later they are still billing me. The customer service agents I have spoken with were rude and unhelpful. I have to get my credit card company involved to help and they have still not issued credits. Do not get sucked in - it is not worth it. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Fabulous!!! Great Choice!!! I reviewed all these sites because there are just so many choices, I felt so confused. Besides the excellent coverage & pricing, they received so many great customer service reviews. Which we all know how important that is these days when it is hard to find a real human to speak with, less well one who is knowledgeable & really cares. I got my dog Tucker last Oct. from a rescue & immed. intended on getting insurance. He is young & extremely healthy, but I just felt the need for a backup, since I had seen my friend's young dog go thru cancer. And it just seemed like a good investment anyway, if you get the coverage with routine care, a lot of it pays for itself anyway. So, to make a long story short, Tucker & I spend alot of time in the park & he developed a limp that sent us on a journey that rang up a tab close to $1,000 & they paid 90%, after a $50.00 dedct. Plus, when it remained undiagnosed & I so worried it was going to lead to surgery, they went out of their way to reimburse me rapidly when I told them I was concerned about future expenses. I am happy to report Tucker is fabulous again & back on the nature trails!!! I know this sounds very gushy, but I am just glad other people took the time to write reviews that helped in my choice & I think PetFirst deserves a "Shout Out" for being so great!!!! | Review: | Beware of this company!!! Beware of this company! My dog was diagnosed with grade 1 heart murmur, and they denied my claim saying that the condition was pre-existing. My vet had since faxed in 2 different doctor's note to clarify this is not an pre-existing condition, but they denied my claim. They will do anything and say anything they want, and customer service as extremely rude!!! Comments [ 1 ] |

| Review: | Best Policy for the Money This is defintely the best policy for the money. The claims process took less than a week. I received my check in ten days. Katie is always prompt to answer emails and phone calls. Don't waste your money on VPI. It is a rip-off!!! Petcare is too expensive!!! Comments [ 1 ] |
