Review: Go elsewhwere!
I took my dog in to the vet in November, they paid the $43 claim in February. Initially they denied my claim, didn't call me back for 3 weeks, I finally got a Supervisor involved and they admitted that they made a mistake and sent the cheque within 2 weeks but then 2 weeks later I received a list of exclusions. if you want to fight for what you are entitled to, be ignored and wait for months then consider them. I plan to go elsewhwere.

Review: DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Pet insurance now has so many requirements that they change over time, including: annual checkups and vaccinations. They give you such a hard time filing claims that you might as well just pay out of pocket and save the premium you would have paid (for us, it averages about the same). Further they now collect YOUR personal information including: identity, medical history, and all information disclosed to your vet.

Review: It took six months to get denied coverage.
I had to follow up multiple times by phone and email to get updates on my claim. They lost my medical data that I first sent and I had to regather it all from 3 vets and fax again. Waited 2 more months and called, only to find out that they rejected the claim, because the puppy had vomited hours before the policy was in effect, but had not been diagnosed or seen by a vet. The policy was in effect. The dog got sick and I took it in for a diagnosis. PetCare Insurance claimed that he had the disease before the policy went into effect. I had no knowledge that he was even sick.

On top of it, lousy customer service. They would not let me talk to an adjustor or anyone with any authority to make a decision about the claim.

They claimed to have sent me a rejection letter, but I never received that.

Review: Coverage looks good, Metlife owns, CS/Claims inept
The Claims service is AWFUL. My vet faxed in treatment & my dog's file, I called 2 days later to make sure they had the file. They said they were missing the bill. I faxed it in and called to verify 2 days later. They couldn't find the bill. I then emailed directly to the Customer Service rep and stayed on the phone to verify receipt. She said they now had everything. A week later I got 2 letters saying they were missing documents. I called to find out what was missing and was told that it was an auto-generated letter and the bill was what it was about and they had everything. One month later I had an accident claim (cat bite & infection) to file and called for directions on how to fill that out properly. Asked about the pending claim and was told it should be out in a few days (we are about 2 months in now). Today I got a denial of claim letter from Petcare Insurance saying that they didn't have my dog's full medical file including notes. My vet sent this back in the beginning but they have now lost it. I spoke to a supervisor but no go, so I have to get my vet to resend the whole file again! I WOULD RECOMEND AVOIDING THESE PEOPLE. You would think with them being a Met Life company they would have their act together, but they don't. Their claims office is either inept at best. If this gets settled and the claim paid I will post an update.
